I'm a California Girl (above) who graduated with Top Honors from FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) and West LA College in 1993. I have a degree in Marketing and Real Estate coupled with over 25 years in the field of Travel/Cruises.

We're able to the do this affordable; thanks to the continued support of our cruisers and without the aid of sponsors/expensive radio ads.

My vision to promote employment opportunities on cruise ships set the wheels in motion for our 96 Classic Soul Cruise which employed such Icons as: The Dramatics -who helped us tremendously by replacing another act (thanks guys), The Ohio Players, The Marvelettes, Comedian George Willborn and Michael Mutha Love. We enlisted the support of two radio personalities KACE in LA with Rico, and V103 in Chicago with Herb Kent the Kool Gent.. and later on with Freddie Bell of Minneapolis and Doug Gilmore of DC.
Our first Soul Cruise was blessed to have 469 cruisers. They came from everywhere. The word quickly spread across the country. here's a Soul Cruise with great entertainment, beautiful hotel accommodations, gifts, prizes, t-shirts contests, celebrity photo sessions ?= and well organized and lots of affordable fun.
Since 96 Classic Soul has commandeered the likes of great artists that sowed a seed into our vision. Maze featuring Frankie Beverly .. was the first perform and assist by performing for 3 consecutive years (We Love you Frankie), The Stylistics, Lakeside, Zapp and Roger, Ms. Shirley Murdock, Ashford and Simpson, the Whispers, Ray Goodman & Brown, Rose Royce, Phillys' Intruders, Enchantment, Confunkshun, The Delfonics, The Bluenotes, Ali Woodson, Bloodstone, The Mary Jane Girls, Evelyn Champagne King, Pacific Breeze, Betty Wright, Heatwave. The Original Manhattans, Alexander & Cherelle, Vicki Winans, Brass Construction, The Persuaders, The Chi-Lites, Blue Magic, Panache Images, DJ Plum, DJ Fred, DJ Ross, Pieces of a Dream, The Temptation Review featuring Dennis Edwards, Friends of Distinction, Enchantment, Rod Wayne, Ms Jean Carn, Nu Era and anyone whom I may have forgotten. Classic Soul is introduced over 88% of the above artists into the world of cruising.
Classic Soul has also had great comedic/hosts onboard the Soul Cruise - The late Arturo Shelton, MC Stanford Lightfoot joined us on the Soul Family in 99. Other extremely talented comic's were - Melanie Camacho, Just June, Jay Lamont, Willie & Woody, A.J. Jamal, Vincent Devereaux, Diane Corder and Barbara Carlyle & Laughin Lenny.
Special Thanks first and foremost to our Lord and Savior who watches over us daily and to all of our Staff Members, and Classic Soul Cruisers whom supported us throughout the years. Again.. WE THANK YOU! We've met wonderful friends and will cherish our memories long after the sail.
Soul Cruise 09 was a blast!!! We stayed at the beautiful Baltimore Waterfront Marriott..... We had a dinner feast in Baltimore at Moe's Cafe ... next it was on to the Great Blacks in Wax Museum in Baltimore (this was an experience in itself- one that we'll never forget) next it was a visit to the Smithsonian museums of Natural History and American History in DC... Ten of our lucky ladies were blessed with a chance to visit the White House while in DC.... Our Cruisers had a grand time during the week on Carnival Pride... with various contests - A Special Tribute to Michael Jackson, Women in Red Night, Males Naughty Sapphire Night was a Blast... We had two beach parties- one at Margueritaville in Grand Turks and one at Billy Joe's in Freeport, Grand Bahamas... We have several Celebrity Concerts throughout the week- Our Celebrity line up was AWESOME...We had a group of 5 young soulful brothers ...better know as "Nu Era" .. that stole the hearts of many...These brothers got down!! Then it was... Harold Melvin's Blue Notes... who Rocked our fans.... along with Ms Jean Carn and Loni Clark formerly of the Marvellettes.... Last, but not the least... was
Ray Goodman & Brown... with another stellar performance....AGAIN... Our shows .. Were Off the Chain..... Comedy - Just June and Laughin Lenny.... DJ Ross... and our videographer - Juice.... rounded our week .... Our 2009 Classic Soul Cruisers ...had so much fun... coupled with Gift Give-aways and Prizes GALORE, they can't wait for 2010.... That is... our Panama Canal Cruise....
2010- We have two cruises planned:
May 16 - May 25, 2010--Carnival Spirit A L A S K A 7 night cruise with (2) hotel stay in Seattle, activities and lots of fun. This cruise was packaged without celebrity entertainment. The ship departed from Seattle and we had several tours while in Seattle - Ride the Ducks, Dinner at the Space Needle and a Cruise thru the Locks.... Alaska was beautiful breath-taking... and we had
a grand time....we went Dog Sledding... visited a Glacier,,, attended a Fish Bake for dinner, the Alaskian Lumberjack Show... and took a beautiful breath-taking ride up thru the Yukon Valley..... Alaska was simply beautiful...

2010 - OUR 20TH VOYAGE... WAS A BLAST... WE HAD BIG FUN... FOLKS ARE STILL
TALKING ABOUT OUR THIS FANTASTIC VOYAGE.... WE Started with Walt Disney's beautiful Coronado Springs Hotel...a exotic Luau, a grand kick off party with the re-nouned group - Bloodstone... then our cruiser were delighted with a special visit from mickey mouse.... This was a Blast ...to add we had the mellow voices of Ms Shananial Johnson and Danny Clay...Next, it was on to RCCl'S Freedom of the Seas... Host: - MC Lightfoot; Rory Darvell; Rev. Robert Carter, our DJ James Brown. Our Concerts were off the chain headlining with: After 7 - rocked the place; Ray Goodman and Brown... an all time favorite for Classic Soul...Marzette Griffith ... fabulous!! Serieux... did a great great job. Last but not least... our Baby Boomers... Nu ERa....took us home... with Art Kelly's song "When a man loves a women".... We had many surprizes, games, and gift give away galore, and we met wonderful folks throuhout the trip.... Then it was All Out at Senior Frogs in Cozumel and over 100 cruisers climbed Jamaicas Dunns River FAlls.. Several cruisers took an exciting spin on the Bob Sled Ride at Mystic Mountain .ALL I can say...is "Let's Do it Again" for 2012..Book Now ,,, as we get to party on the Grandist Ship in the ocean... RCCL'S ALLURE OF THE SEAS...
